Hughes recently completed the Apollo Career Center Police Academy and before that served in the United States Marine Corps. Ptl. Hughes was recognized last night at the Shawnee Township Trustee's meeting. Welcome and congratulations to Ptl. Hughes!

We thank our officers for their dedication and service to the Shawnee Township Community.

National Police Week has begun. May 10th-May 16th.
We want to thank and honor our Shawnee Township officers that show up daily to keep us safe and protect our community. This is a week to express gratitude for their service, sacrifice and bravery for putting their lives on the line and to remember those who have fallen in the line of duty.

Shawnee Township Police Department members attended the FOP memorial today followed by the Lima Exchange Clubs 'Jack Somerville Law Officer of the year' award presentation.

This year, Shawnee Township nominated School Resource Officer Ptl. Corey Wilson for consideration. Although Ptl. Wilson didnt receive the award, we are proud of his nomination, his continued efforts and his dedication to the safety and secuirty of our community and youth.
