Yesterday the Lillington Fire Department proudly had its uncoupling ceremony for our new Station 3. We would like to thank our town manager, assistant managers, finance director and all the town staff that made this station a reality. Thanks to the mayor and town board for their foresight in our present and future fire protection, and confidence in our department. To our design/build firm Bobbitt thanks for your expertise, patience and helping us make this an almost seamless build. Thanks to our retired members for their attendance, our volunteer and paid members who will make this station a home away from home. Last but not least! To Chief Andrew Milton who kept this project and many others going at the same time, and his resolve and continued push to make our department second to none.

The Town of Lillington, NC is seeking qualified candidates to fill a full time shift Firefighter vacancy.

Starting salary of $50,898.38 annually (before built in overtime pay)

This position works a rotating 24 hour shift schedule over a 9 day cycle
(on, off, on, off, on, off, off, off, off)

Employees also receive:
-Employee health, vision, and dental insurance
-Local government retirement system and 401k match up to 5%

Fire officials worked to put out a large house fire Wednesday night in Harnett County. The fire took place in the 100 block of Strickland Lane in Lillington, near Campbell University.
