The Ligonier Valley Police Department is a full-time law enforcement agency located in Ligonier, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania. Berger and Assistant Chief Michael Matrunics, the Ligonier Valley Police patrol the ½ mile square town of Ligonier with a population of approximately 1553 residents and Ligonier Township consisting of approximately 92 square miles with a population of approximately 66

00 residents. Ligonier Valley Police consists of a full-time Chief and Assistant Chief, a Sergeant, six full-time officers, and four part-time officers. All Ligonier Valley Police Officers are certified municipal police officers by the Pennsylvania Municipal Police Officers Education and Training Commission in Harrisburg and have full police powers in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Should residents need police services there are three ways to contact Ligonier Valley Police. Residents can call 911 for emergency request of police services. Residents can also call into the station at 724-238-5105 for non-emergency request of police services or by visiting the station between the hours of 7am and 3pm Monday through Friday.
