Here is the new design for the K9 Mytus tee shirts and hoodies!!!! They are being printed as we speak and will be available for purchase in a few weeks. Cost is $20 per tee shirt and $30 for a hoodie. I will have instructions on where they can be purchased when it gets closer to the release date. Thank you!!!

Today Mytus and I stopped in to Carol and Dave’s Roadhouse to accept a donation to our K9 fund. On National Night out they generously donated a percentage of their sales to our program. We cannot thank the owners, Lauren, Carol and Dave enough for the contribution. We also wanted to recognize the hardworking employees, because without them none of it would
Be possible. Mytus and I are so thankful for the support!!

All I can say is WOW…..what a night at our annual National Night out. There are so many people to thank. All the business and citizens that donated baskets, all the fire departments that came did demos, mutual aid, the game commission and all the LVPD officers that came out to meet the public. We think the ice cream from Ligonier Creamery was a huge success and will continue that tradition next year. To top it all off, the Boro Fire department was generous enough to give me the proceeds from the 50/50 and the ladder rides to the k9 fund. We had our most successful national night to date raising more money to our program than ever before!! Thank you to all the citizens that showed up to support ALL the first responders in the Ligonier Valley!

The LVPD are proud to announce the newest member of our department has arrived. We would like to introduce K9 Mytus. Mytus is a 17 month old Dutch shepherd from Poland. Mytus is still in training, but you will be able to see him on August 4th at National night out. Thank you to everyone in the community for the support in our journey!! #4625

The Ligonier Valley Police and all the first responders will again be hosting National Night out again this year. It will again be hosted in Lot A, near the YMCA. It will be on August 4th from 530pm-830pm. I am again asking for baskets or donations to help support the LVPD k9 program. Obviously with the loss of k9 Kilo it will have a different feel for the community but we are asking for support to continue the program. I will be introducing my new k9 parter to the Ligonier Valley at national night out so please come support us!!!

It is with heavy hearts that I have to announce that K9 Kilo passed away today surround by the family that loved and cherished him. As I sit here and type this I think about all the memories and moments that made him loved by so many people in the Ligonier Valley. I will miss my best friend and partner forever. RIP #4621

La Vigneta will be hosting a benefit for the Ligonier Valley K-9 unit. They reached out and were gracious enough to sponsor this fundraiser to help with Kilo's retirement upkeep and the upkeep of the new K-9 Unit. As most of you know, our K-9 program is completely funded through donations. If you can make it, please come support the K-9 program and win some prizes. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased online at the link below in the first comment or on the day of the event. The event is on June 6th from 2pm-8pm at 221 West Main Street in Ligonier. Today was a bittersweet for the LVPD. At tonight’s LVPD Commission meeting Kilo was officially retired and his badge number 4621 will be officially retired from active use. It is a sad day for me as my best friend and partner will no longer be beside me in my police car every shift. Thank you to the Commission members, the Officers, the citizens of the Ligonier Valley and my family for their continued support. Kilo will be well loved and cared for during his retirement by my family and I. Thank you for your service, 4621!!!
