Today we are taking the time to remember the 343 Firefighters, 60 Police Officers, and thousands of other innocent people who lost their lives on September 11th, 2001.

We are also remembering their families, friends, and fellow First Responders who continue to carry their loss.

They will never be forgotten.

LFD’s Water Rescue team consisting of rescue divers and swiftwater rescue technicians conducted their annual swim test and dive skills today. Lt Naspinski and FFs Woodward, Reckling, Boyle, Ahlgrim, Moya, Pyne, and Riley all proved their skills to handle any water related emergency. Special thanks to Libertyville Recreation for allowing us to use Adler Pool!
