The County Judge made promises of fixing this current situation of lack of pay for experience this October. The promises were made in an open meeting at the Sheriff's Office. He has again FAILED to hold up his end of the bargain. He will say there is not enough money but the truth comes that it is the allocation of those funds for other things. There was plenty of funds to do it this year as promised but here we sit again with no relief. There is one thing that doesn't cost a cent and that is guaranteed by the American Constitution...the right to vote...we might be penny less, might be broke, might continue to hear empty promises of raises...but it doesn't matter because it is equalized that day.. The Commissioners and County Judge have the same numbers of votes as us in Law Enforcement...ONE!!! When the day comes for those Commissioners and County Judge to face the public on Election Day let your voices be heard. Let them know that WE stand together in support of those that protect us.
