Yesterday, the Liberty Police Department responded to a report of a Jeep that had run a truck off the roadway. Officers located and stopped the vehicle while the Union County Sheriff’s Office assisted the driver of the truck.

**Chief Todd Dickenson and his K9 partner, Rogue, were called to the scene. K9 Rogue alerted to the presence of narcotics, leading to the discovery of suspected methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, and a syringe.
**Darren Fox of Lawrenceburg, Indiana was arrested on charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of a syringe, and possession of paraphernalia.
**The Union County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate the accident.

All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

* TRAFFIC STOP LEADS TO NARCOTICS ARREST IN LIBERTY *
On April 29th at approximately 8:51 PM, Deputy Neal initiated a traffic stop on a motorcycle on Eaton St., in Liberty. During the course of the investigation, the driver was identified as Thomas M. Keith of Hamilton, Ohio. Liberty Police Chief Dickenson and his K9 partner Rogue was called to the scene to assist. K9 Rogue gave a positive indication for narcotics on the motorcycle. Thomas Keith was taken into custody and lodged in the Union County Jail. Keith is charged with Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of a Controlled Substance, and Possession of a Hypodermic Needle. Deputy Bias and Liberty Officer Brown also assisted at the scene. Through proactive enforcement, deputies and officers were able to prevent illegal narcotics from entering the Liberty community.

On the evening of April 28, Sgt. Brian Jackson and Officer Tanner Earl of the Liberty Police Department arrested Mark Cordell on a charge of stalking. The arrest took place in the Pizza King parking lot.

The arrest was made pursuant to a warrant issued by the Union County Prosecutor’s Office following an investigation conducted by Officer Nick Brown of the Liberty Police Department.

All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Union County Emergency Communications would like to inform our residents that due to critical staffing levels, some operations will be temporarily supported by Wayne County Emergency Communications.

This partnership ensures that all 911 services remain fully operational. Residents should not notice any change in service, and Wayne County is fully prepared to assist as needed to maintain the high level of response you expect.

This is a great example of neighbors helping neighbors, public safety agencies working together to ensure our communities continue to receive the care and response they deserve.

The Liberty Police Department, with assistance from the Union County Sheriff’s Department, responded to a report of criminal trespassing at Patriot Pointe Apartments.

Upon arrival, officers located a male and female inside an apartment who were unlawfully occupying the residence. During the investigation, officers discovered substances believed to be methamphetamine, 5 different types of suspected illegal prescription narcotics, and multiple items of paraphernalia associated with illegal drug use. All substances are alleged to be narcotics at this time pending further testing.

The individuals, identified as Dylan Day and Cheyenne Adkins, were taken into custody and transported to the Union County Jail. They are currently facing pending charges of Criminal Trespass, Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Legend Drugs, Possession of a Syringe, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Chief Dickenson of The Liberty Police Department would like to thank the Union County Sheriff’s Department for their assistance in this investigation.

All subjects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
