The Liberty Hill Fire Department (W.C.E.S.D. No. 4) is headed by Fire Chief Anthony Lincoln, W.C.E.S.D No. 4 was founded in 2001. We are a career department that is staffed around the clock with certified Fire Fighters and EMT's.

Wildfires don’t just happen in remote forests—they can and do occur right here in Central Texas. As we enter warmer, drier months, Williamson County ESD No. 4 encourages our community to stay informed and take simple steps to reduce wildfire risk.

🚨 Heads Up, Liberty Hill! Statewide Emergency Alert Test This Thursday 🚨

Residents in the Liberty Hill area may notice an increase in emergency alerts on Thursday, April 2, as part of a coordinated statewide test.

⏰ Testing Window:
10:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
(You may still receive some alerts shortly after if there are delays.)

During this time, you may receive test notifications through text messages, emails, phone calls, or other alert systems. Because multiple agencies across Texas are participating, you might receive more than one test alert.
✔️ No action is required.
✔️ This is only a drill.

🔍 Why This Test Matters
This statewide exercise helps emergency managers evaluate how well our alert systems work across different platforms and identify any gaps. Reliable communication is critical during real emergencies.

Before Thursday, take a moment to:
• Sign up for emergency alerts at WarnCentralTexas.org
• Confirm your contact information is up to date
• Check that emergency alerts are enabled on your phone (iPhone and other devices)

Staying prepared ensures you receive critical information when it matters.

Burn Ban Reminder – Williamson County

This is a reminder that Williamson County remains under an active burn ban.

Under this order, it is prohibited to burn any combustible material outdoors unless it is contained within an approved enclosure designed to fully contain all flames and sparks. This prohibition also extends to allowing or authorizing others to conduct such burning.

The burn ban includes, but is not limited to, the burning of household yard waste such as leaves, grass, brush, and other trimmings, as well as burning for land clearing purposes, including trees, stumps, shrubs, and other vegetation.

This order is enforceable by any duly commissioned peace officer. Violations are considered a Class C misdemeanor and are punishable by a fine of up to $500.

The Williamson County Commissioners Court has issued a county-wide burn ban effective at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 24, 2026, for up to 90 days due to increased drought conditions. The order may be lifted earlier by the Commissioners Court or County Judge if conditions improve.

🔥 Honoring Lifesaving Excellence at Williamson County ESD No. 4 🔥

We are proud to recognize the C‑Shift Quint 1 crew and Battalion 1 for receiving the Phoenix Award in acknowledgment of their outstanding lifesaving actions.

On December 6, 2025, crews responded to a medical emergency where immediate CPR was initiated by responding personnel. Thanks to their rapid, skilled, and coordinated efforts, the patient was successfully resuscitated and later discharged from the hospital — walking out under their own power.

This remarkable outcome is a testament to the professionalism, dedication, and training of the firefighters who responded that day.

🚨 New Overhead Safety Markers Installed at Liberty Hill Fire Station 1🚨
Williamson County ESD No. 4 is proud to partner with Pedernales Electric Cooperative (PEC) on a new initiative to improve firefighter and community safety.
As part of this effort, PEC has installed aerial marker balls — the bright orange visibility markers you may see on overhead lines — on the power lines outside Station 1. These markers help make power lines more noticeable, reducing the risk of accidental contact and improving safety for our fire apparatus as they enter and leave the station.
This project began after joint training sessions with PEC identified the need for increased visibility around overhead lines, especially during daily ladder checks with our 107‑foot aerial ladder. With PEC’s support, these new markers help ensure safe clearance and enhance both day‑ and nighttime operations.
🌟 More than a one‑time improvement, this effort reflects our continued partnership with PEC in mitigation, preparedness, and emergency response — all part of building a safer and more resilient Liberty Hill.
A special thank‑you to PEC for their proactive approach and commitment to the safety of our firefighters and our community. 🔥🚒💛
