Liberty Hill EDC Liberty Hill is located 35 miles/56 km north-northwest of downtown Austin at US 183/183-A & SH 29. We are the northeast corner of Texas' Hill Country.

A seven-member Board of Directors will recommend to the Liberty Hill City Council for approval the following items. An overall economic development plan with the following elements:

a. Permanently bolster the business climate;
b. Fully utilize community assets;
c. Coordinate public, private and academic resources to develop and enhance business opportunities;
d. Improve communication and cooperat

ion;
e. Accountability of all tax money expenditures;
f. Implementation of identified strategies;
g. Outline the activities, tasks, projects and programs submitted with the annual budget;
h. Employ necessary personnel to discharge LHEDC duties;
i. Review and update the economic development plan annually; and
j. Expend tax funds received on direct economic development;

Leander Station is located approximately seven miles/12 km south of Liberty Hill (https://www.capmetro.org/parkandrides.aspx?id=2069). U.S. 183/FM 2243, Leander Park here and ride to: Downtown Austin, UT, Lakeline Station Served by Routes: 983, 985, 987, MetroRail Red Line Leander Station is the northernmost terminal for MetroRail and our northbound express routes.
