Phew! It’s been a packed day! Congrats to all the winners! Liberty Hill RW delegates met candidates, elected officials and other TFRW sisters at Convention! Can’t wait for the gala tonight!!

We even nominated one of our own for a spot on the SREC! Although she didn’t win, it was a great experience!

⭐Political Party Conventions⭐

In Texas, parties hold their own conventions in election years. In even-numbered years, Texas Republicans hold precinct conventions, county or senatorial district conventions, a state convention, and in presidential years, a national convention.

The purposes of the conventions are to:

✅ Choose delegates and alternates to the next higher convention level, when applicable; and
✅ Consider resolutions or statements on policy issues to send to the next higher convention and/or for eventual inclusion in the state or national Party platform.

At the State Convention:
✅ To elect the members of the (SREC) State Republican Executive Committee.

🇺🇸❤️ we will never forget.

🇺🇸Today, we honor the 𝟖𝟐𝐧𝐝 𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐃-𝐃𝐚𝐲 and the heroes who turned the tide of World War II on the beaches of Normandy.

On 𝐉𝐮𝐧𝐞 𝟔, 𝟏𝟗𝟒𝟒, young Americans and our Allied brothers in arms stormed the beaches of Normandy and began the liberation of Europe from N**i tyranny. 𝐄𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐲-𝐭𝐰𝐨 𝐲𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐬 𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐫, we pause to remember their courage, mourn the more than 𝟒,𝟎𝟎𝟎 who gave the last full measure of devotion that day, and thank the Greatest Generation whose sacrifice preserved freedom for the world.

As Republicans, we stand proudly in that tradition of strength, resolve, and love of country. May we live worthy of their legacy by defending America, supporting our veterans, and working to keep this nation strong at home and abroad.
