Liberty Center Friends of the Library The Friends of the Liberty Center Public Library is a non-profit organization, separate from the Library. We support library development and legislation.

It is comprised of individual members interested in books and other information sources and libraries. We are a source of community opinion in determining the community's library needs. We focus public attention on the library's services, facilities, and needs. We encourage the gifts of library material, desirable collections, endowments, scholarships, and bequests to the library. We work with the

board of trustees and director on matters which relate to major development projects. We sponsor programs and exhibits and promote library-sponsored activities and services. We support the policies established by the board of trustees.

Remember to pick up your tickets for the Chicken BBQ TOMORROW at the library!! That will be the last day to purchase the pre-sale only tickets, and library is closed today for staff training. Plenty of tickets available...show your support for our library! Hours tomorrow are 9-3.

Did you know? The Teen Advisory Board (T.A.B.) is a group of preteens and teens ages 11-18 that help the library plan teen programs, make suggestions for books and movies for the library to purchase, and volunteer in the library, and for library activities when needed. T.A.B. will meet once a month from 3:30-4:30pm. Time spent as a Teen Advisory Board member can be used as volunteer time for school purposes, and also looks good on college applications and resumes.

Did you know? The LCPL Book Club meets monthly to discuss books of interest on various subjects. All are welcome to participate! If you are interested, please contact the library at 419-533-5721 and ask that a copy of the book be requested on your behalf. For more details ask or leave a message for Karen Savage. We will be announcing our next book title soon!
