🌟 Meet Karla Mendoza! 🌟

We’re continuing Introduction Month by introducing Karla, who has been part of the Municipal Court family for more than 3 years! 💗 Karla says this job teaches her something new every day. She has held a couple of different positions during her time here, but her favorite has always been interacting with the public at the window. There is never a dull moment at Municipal Court! What she enjoys most about her work, though, is the people she gets to work with. “We really are a court family!”💗

Before joining the Municipal Court, Karla was a certified phlebotomist for 3 years💉 When she isn’t at work, Karla enjoys running, anything outdoors, and spending time with her 4 year old son. She loves coffee that tastes like coffee☕, anything homemade by her momma, and doesn’t have any pets. Her dream vacation is the Whitsunday Islands in Australia! 🌴 She enjoys all kinds of music, but especially country music. 🎵

🌟Meet Naydelyn Villa!🌟

We’re excited to introduce Naydelyn, who has been part of the team for the past three months!💚 One of the things Naydelyn enjoys most about her job is the people she gets to work with. Their support makes every day enjoyable and continuously helps her learn new things. Being surrounded by great coworkers and having the opportunity to grow makes her experience even more rewarding.

When Naydelyn isn’t at work, you’ll find her building and collecting Legos or spending time with her boyfriend. Her favorite drink? Coffee! ☕ Her dream vacation destination is Santorini, Greece! 🇬🇷
For a fun fact, Naydelyn is a huge Spider-Man fanatic! 🕷️❤️ And when it comes to food, her favorite is Green Spaghetti. 🍝 As for music, she’s a fan of Cloud Rap. 🎶

🌟 Meet Brittany Ricks! 🌟

Brittany has proudly served the City of Liberal for 4 years and truly enjoys the busy, fast-paced environment and getting to work with the public. 💙

When Brittany isn’t serving our community, you’ll find her enjoying a good book , putting together jigsaw puzzles 🧩, and sipping on a cup of coffee ☕. Her favorite food? Spaghetti! While Brittany is highly allergic to pets 🐾, she has plenty of other hobbies and interests to enjoy especially spending time with her Grandchildren, Noah and Espn! Her dream vacation is Greece ✈️, and when it comes to music, you can’t go wrong with some classic ’80s tunes! 🎶 And for a fun fact, Brittany was a spelling bee champion from 3rd through 6th grade! 🐝🏆

🌟Meet Leslie Chavira!🌟

We’re excited to introduce Leslie Chavira, who has been part of the City of Liberal team for the past 2 years! 🩵 One of the things Leslie enjoys most about her role as a probation officer is seeing progress firsthand, especially when someone who may initially struggle eventually becomes more responsible and consistent. Being able to witness the growth and know she played a part in someone’s journey is one of the most rewarding aspects of her work.

When Leslie isn’t serving our community, you’ll find her enjoying a good cup of coffee or tea, running, reading, and spending time with her two boys. Her dream vacation destination? The Maldives! And for a fun fact, Leslie is working towards obtaining her Bachelors degree in Criminal Justice.🎓Leslie says her favorite food is pasta! When it comes to music, she’s a country music fan through and through.🎶

🌟 Meet Michelle Contreras! 🌟

Continuing our Introduction Month, we’re excited to introduce one of our Municipal Court team members, who has been with us for 8 years! 💗 Over the years, Michelle has served in different roles, from clerk to probation officer, giving her a deeper understanding of our community and the people we serve. She loves helping others feel comfortable and supported, especially those who may be nervous walking into our office for the first time. Most of all, she enjoys working alongside her Municipal Court family! 🩷

Outside of work, Michelle is a proud boy mama of three and a self-proclaimed night owl! 🌙 She’s always on the go with her family, whether it’s sports, church, or their many other activities. When she does get a moment to relax, you’ll likely find her with an iced latte in hand, enjoying some Mexican food or listening to her playlist, which ranges from anything and everything , depending on the mood! 🎶Her dream vacation? Rome, Italy! And while she doesn’t have a pet just yet, she’d love to add a dog to the family someday! 🐶

We’re so thankful to have her as part of our Municipal Court family and appreciate all she does for our community! 💗

🌟 Meet Kimberly Clinkingbeard! 🌟

We’re kicking off Introduction Month by introducing Kim, who has proudly served the City of Liberal for more than 30 years! 💗Kim truly loves serving our community and believes there’s always something new to learn. What she enjoys most about her work is being part of an amazing court staff and getting to work with so many wonderful departments throughout the City.

When Kim isn’t serving our community, you’ll find her enjoying a cup of tea, Mexican food, and time with her two yellow Labradors, Lillee and Zoey. Her dream vacation? Alaska! 🌴❄️ She also enjoys Pilates with Mandi and traveling with Nelda’s Traveling Friends. And for a fun fact, Kim loves spending her vacation days substituting for USD 480! 📚💗

Last month, we said goodbye to our incredible Probation Officer, Shawnna Shuck, as she retired after 20 years of dedicated service to the Liberal Municipal Court. Shawnna's hard work, kindness, and commitment have left a lasting impact on our Court and our community. She will be greatly missed, and the Liberal Municipal Court will not be the same without her. Please join us in congratulating Shawnna on this well deserved milestone and wishing her a happy, healthy, and fulfilling retirement. Thank you for your 20 years of service, Shawnna you will always be a valued part of the Liberal Municipal Court family!
