Open Commissioner Meeting Tuesday at 9am
in the Commissioners Office to discuss solutions regarding the ballot situation, provide further insight, and determine how the mail in ballot issue will be handled for this Primary Election.
This comes after a misleading slip was attached to ballots instructing voters to “sign the ballot” instead of signing the signature envelope.
Melanie Howell, Election Administrator, stated that the note originated from the Montana Secretary of State’s Office. Our County Elections Office printed them, and put them in the envelopes.
If you have concerns, questions, or would just like to hear directly from county officials about how this situation will be addressed moving forward, please attend the meeting.
