A group of 50 residents of the 6th district met again with an empty chair for a town hall . Some of these folks were members of Peaceful Bluegrass Resistance, Gathering For Democracy and Progress Kentucky along with others.

Congressman Andy Barr has not come to a town hall in a decade. He believes this seat belongs to him.

The group raised concerns with:

His support of data centers
His lack of support for the release of the Epstein files
His cuts to Medicaid
The tariffs effect of beef, soy beans, and bourbon
And many other issues.

Andy Barr needs to realize that we will not go quietly.

Lexington, KY! September, 3rd at 6:30pm, we are hosting an ‘empty chair’ town hall in Kentucky’s 6th congressional district.

This in-person event will bring together area science advocates and constituents and offer the opportunity to share your concerns and questions.

Dr. Colette Delawalla, CEO and Founder of Stand Up for Science, will host the event.

We have extended the invitation to Congressman Barr but he has not confirmed his attendance.
