The Nebraska Department of Labor is hosting a "Coffee & Conversation" event to provide layoff support, training program details, and career services for workers affected by the Tyson closure.

⚫ New to Lexington Public Schools?⚫

Lexington Public Schools would like to remind families that student registration for the 2026–2027 school year will continue throughout the summer months for all grade levels.

🛑 IMPORTANT FOR CURRENT LPS FAMILIES: If your student is already enrolled in Lexington Public Schools, your registration automatically rolls over. You do NOT need to register again.

Parents or guardians can easily start the enrollment process online or by visiting our Central Office.
📋 Registration Basics for New Families:
To complete enrollment, you will need to provide:
▪A completed enrollment packet per student
▪Each student's state-certified birth certificate
▪Current immunization/vaccine records

Congratulations to seniors Treyvan Berry and Maylin Novoa, this year's Mingus and Ramsey Award recipients!

This honor recognizes the "best of the best" senior student-athletes who compete in three sports, maintain top grades, and display outstanding community leadership.

🧡 Treyvan Berry excelled across four sports this year: Football, Unified Bowling, Varsity Bowling, and Unified Track.
🖤 Maylin Novoa showed incredible leadership and dedication in Cross Country, Basketball, and Soccer—remaining a vital teammate even through a spring injury.

Torri was one of three recipients in Nebraska to be recognized at the Nebraska School Mental Health Conference for demonstrating exceptional leadership, advocacy, and commitment to supporting student mental health and well-being in schools. Torri’s family and several of her colleagues were there to honor her. What a great way to celebrate her accomplishments! Way to go Torri! 🧡🖤

Were you unable to attend the Elementary Summer School Kick Off Party? No problem! ☀️

Monday is the first day of Elementary Summer School! Students may pick up their envelopes and important information when they arrive at their designated summer school building Monday morning.

🏫 Summer School Building Assignments:
• Morton Elementary → Incoming Kindergarten & 1st Grade
• Sandoz Elementary → Incoming 2nd & 3rd Grade
• Pershing Elementary → Incoming 4th & 5th Grade
• Bryan Elementary → Students participating in the Bryan Dual Language Program

If your incoming Kindergarten student was accepted into the Bryan Dual Language Program, please attend Bryan Elementary. All other incoming Kindergarten students will attend Morton Elementary.
