The Fayette County Cooperative Extension Horticulture program provides educational training and technical assistance to our community. Our technical services include soil testing, disease diagnosis, and plant, weed, and insect identification. Cooperative Extension is the major provider of research-based information for consumers and horticulture businesses. The University of Kentucky is committed

Join native plants technician Tyson Gregory on Saturday, June 13th from 10am-12pm, for a guided tour through the Walk Across Kentucky Collection. This tour will highlight some of the unique species within the collection while exploring a variety of rotating topics such as plant naming, ecological adaptations, Kentucky’s ecoregions, pollinator-host plant relationships, and more.

Grow your own food! Join Fayette County Extension horticulture staff, our master gardener volunteers, and the incredibly talented students & teachers at The Learning Center for a day jam packed with learning and fun!

We hope to see you this Saturday May 9 from 10AM to 1PM at The Learning Center (475 Price Rd, Lexington, KY, 40508). Attend 15-minute lessons to earn a free bundle of transplants and seeds.
