Davidson County 4-H "Making the Best Better" in Davidson County! "4-H is a fun program where you get to "Learn by Doing." All youth between the ages of 5 and 19 are invited to join!

With more than 10,000 established 4-H programs across North Carolina, you can be a part of 4-H wherever you live. In 4-H you can go to camp, start a business, ride in a bike rodeo, take part in an international exchange, raise an animal, create a blog, give a presentation, participate in a community service project, develop your resume, practice interview skills, learn about healthy eating habits,

build lifelong friendships. Best of all, membership is FREE! 4-H costs nothing to join, and you are not required to purchase a uniform. Member expenses are minimal and determined by the club itself.....4-H is the largest youth organization in the United States with over 7 million participants. 4-H is best identified by its green four-leaf clover with an H on each leaf. The four H's on the emblem stand for Head, Heart, Hands, and Health. 4-H is the only youth organization based at land-grant universities and the first experience many youth have with higher education." http://www.nc4h.org/whatis4h.html

Few upcoming reminders!

- Talent Show and Fashion R***e registration is due by this Friday, April 24th. The event itself is May 1st here at the Extension Office.

- Electric Congress registration is due by May 1st - if you have been contacted, please confirm your attendance.

- AIRE applications are due by May 11th.

- 4-H County Presentations are May 4th through the 8th by appointment. You must present on the county level to move on to district and state competition.

Did you know that over 270,000 youth participated in North Carolina 4-H activities last year? 🍀

From the youngest cloverbud to college-age students, 4-H provides learn-by-doing experiences based on youths' interests, guiding them as they develop their own pathways and passions.
