The Lexington Auditorium and Civic Center - "The LEX"

The Lexington Auditorium and Civic Center - "The LEX" For 80 years, The LEX was the hub of our community, with concerts, plays, and many other events. We're bringing back all that the LEX once was and more!

Phase I of the campaign to renovate The LEX was reached at the end of 2015, thanks in part to the award of $350,000 in Missouri tax credits in 2013. The upper level is now being rented for social events, performances, weddings, community meetings, and workshops. While updated utilities and ADA accessibility are complete, there are other renovations planned in the near future.

Katie Wallace is calling all coffee lovers to her “Cowpoke Corral” on Saturday March 7th, 2026. The Cowpoke Corral coffee trailer will be parked outside the Lexington Municipal Auditorium (The Lex) located at 111 S 11th Street in downtown Lexington Missouri 64067. Coffee and delicious treats will be available for purchase. Check out the vendors inside the Lex while you sip your coffee and enjoy shopping local artisans wares! 10 am to 4 pm.
