During the funeral procession honoring Lexington officer David Hall, we noticed an overwhelming amount of support from the community sharing our loss.

One individual, Shirley Wandrei, stood on her porch waiving and blowing kisses to the patrol units as they passed her house.

Officers from our department were so moved by her support, Officer John Borkovich stopped at her residence to personally thank her and take her some flowers.

Thank you Shirley for supporting our Law Enforcement family!

With great sadness and a heavy heart, the Lexington Police Department would like to inform the community that Officer Dave Hall has passed away.

Dave was a great mentor, police officer and friend to everyone who knew him.

Dave was a police officer for 49 years serving Sanilac County area. He started his career at Lexington Police Department, then worked at the Sanilac County Sheriff's Office for 30 years where he retired at the rank of Sergeant. Dave then took a position as Chief of Police in Croswell. Dave retired from Croswell Police Department after 17 years of dedicated service. After his short retirement, Dave loved police work so much that he returned to Lexington Police Department as a Patrolman.

Please keep Officer Dave Hall, his wife JoAnn, and his family in your prayers. We know Officer Dave Hall is watching over and protecting the Sanilac County Community. God bless.
