Lexington Council for the Arts The Lexington Council for the Arts funds individual artists and arts and cultural organizations, benefiting the Lexington, MA community.

The Lexington Council for the Arts uses funding from the Massachusetts Cultural Council to fund and make possible local art. Our budget is limited however and we, and the artists of the Lexington area, greatly appreciate donations. 🎨 CALL FOR ARTISTS 🎨
Lexington Utility Box Painting Project 2026

The Lexington Council for the Arts is seeking artists to transform a large utility box into a vibrant public artwork this summer in Lexington, MA!

🖌 Open to all artists — in or outside of Lexington
📍 Location: Lincoln Park, 100 Lincoln Street
💵 Stipend: $1000
📅 Design submissions due: May 25, 2026
✅ Project completion deadline: August 31, 2026

This year’s box is located at Lincoln Park, home to athletic fields, a playground, fitness trail, and beautiful natural surroundings. We encourage artists to visit the park for inspiration!

We’re looking for bold, colorful, and creative original designs. Artists may submit up to 3 designs for consideration by the jury.
