UK FALL LAMBING SCHOOL

Cost: No registration fee
(limited to 25 people)

• This school is designed for new and prospective sheep producers, but seasoned shepherds are welcome to attend to hone their shepherding skills.

Subject matter covered by University of Kentucky faculty and staff will include:
• Pregnancy management
• Normal and abnormal parturition
• Care of the ewe and her newborns
• Metabolic disorders
• Lactation nutrition
• Other shepherding techniques required to effectively produce lambs and wool.

Please wear pants and close-toed shoes.

The Kentucky Beef Network and University of Kentucky Extension are sponsoring FREE Beef Quality & Care Assurance (BQCA) certifications for the entire month of September. This includes both new certifications and renewals.
