As summer begins, please note that our front office summer hours start this week:

The office will be closed on Fridays during the summer.

What a week of big smiles, proud tears, and major milestones! 🎉🎓

We want to send a huge congratulations to our wonderful Kindergarteners and 5th Graders who celebrated their promotion ceremonies this week!

To our Kindergartners: You started the year learning your ABCs, and now you’re officially ready for the "big kid" hallways of elementary school. Keep shining bright! 🖍️✨

To our 5th Graders: You came in as little ones and are leaving us as leaders. Middle school is waiting for you, and we know you’re going to absolutely crush it. 🎒🚀

Both of these amazing groups are stepping into brand-new chapters, and while our hearts are a little sentimental seeing them grow up so fast, we couldn't be prouder of the kind, smart, and resilient kids they've become.

A very special shoutout goes to NPE’s own Liam, who was selected to star as the district’s “Kid Retiree!” 🌟 He did an incredible job representing our Lion family, and we couldn’t be more proud!

🐾 Once a Lion, Always a Lion! 🦁

Yesterday morning, our hallways felt a little bit more crowded—and a whole lot more emotional.

We were beyond honored to welcome back our former students for the annual NPE Grad Walk! Watching these soon-to-be graduates trade their elementary backpacks for caps and gowns as they walked the very halls where their journey began was a beautiful reminder of why we do what we do.

From the wide-eyed kindergarteners cheering them on to the teachers catching a glimpse of the "little kids" they once knew, there wasn't a dry eye in the building. It seems like just yesterday they were mastering the monkey bars and learning their ABCs, and now they are ready to take on the world!

🎓 To our Class of 2026:

You have grown into incredible young adults. As you head off to your next big adventure, remember that you always have a home here at NPE. Go out there and roar!

There’s nothing better than a good book and a special guest! 📚🦁💙

This morning, our littlest Lions had a wonderful visit from Lexington Police Department Chief Green during his annual summer reading book giveaway! Chief Green spent time reading with our pre-k, kindergarten, 1st grade, and special education students, sharing the joy of reading and encouraging a love for books.

To make the day even more special, every child received their very own copy of the book to take home and enjoy over the summer! ☀️📖

Thank you, Chief Green, for investing in our students, promoting literacy, and making such a meaningful impact on our young Lions!

Today, we celebrate the incredible mothers, grandmothers, guardians, and mother figures who make up our NPE family. 💐

Thank you for the countless early mornings, packed lunches, homework help, bedtime stories, hugs, encouragement, and unconditional love you pour into your children each and every day. Your support helps shape not only successful students, but kind, confident, and compassionate people.

Thank you for the love you give so freely, the sacrifices you make quietly, and the strength you show every single day. From comforting tough moments to celebrating life’s little victories, a mother’s love leaves a lasting mark on the hearts of her children.

You are the cheerleaders, the protectors, the encouragers, the safe place, and the steady presence through every season of life. The care, patience, and devotion you pour into your families do not go unnoticed.

We hope today reminds you just how deeply loved, appreciated, and valued you are. ❤️

What an incredible week it has been here at NPE! As we wrap up Teacher Appreciation Week, our hearts are absolutely overflowing with gratitude. We have been truly "spoiled" by our amazing families and parents, and we are feeling the love in every corner of the building.

To every family who sent in a sweet handmade note, a thoughtful gift, or a kind word: Thank you. You’ve made every single staff member feel seen, valued, and celebrated. We are so lucky to partner with such a generous community!

A Week of Five-Star Treatment!!! ✨✨✨

The pampering didn't stop at the classroom door! We want to give a massive shout-out to our incredible Homeroom Parents for their "VIP Delivery Service.” Having treats and surprises delivered directly to each office and classroom made us feel like true royalty. 👑

We also enjoyed a spectacular breakfast spread provided by our amazing PTA, featuring:

🥯 Fresh, delicious bagels from The Bagel Guys

🍓 Refreshing fruit and sweet pastries

☕️ Plenty of hot coffee to keep us going

To our students, parents, and the PTA: from the bottom of our hearts, thank you for making us feel so special—not just this week, but every day. It is truly an honor to be part of the NPE family! 🐾❤️ 🦁

A massive thank you to Melissa Still for treating the NPE family today! 🧁✨

While our amazing New Providence Elementary School- PTA gathered volunteers to provide a Duty-Free Lunch for our teachers, Melissa made sure the celebration ended on a high note by providing a spread of wonderful desserts for the entire staff to enjoy.

Having Melissa’s support is such a wonderful gift to our school! She has a heart of gold and always finds the best ways to support our school. Thank you for making this Teacher Appreciation Week so special! 🍎🍰

We want to take a moment to celebrate the absolute heart of our Health Room: Nurse Christa and Nurse Patty.

You are so much more than just band-aids and thermometers! You are the steadfast caretakers of our Lions, handling everything from scraped knees to big emotions with grace and patience. Thank you for keeping our students healthy, safe, and ready to roar every single day.

We are so lucky to have you both looking after our pride! 💙🐾🦁
