Competitors in the United States Army Special Operations Command International Sniper Competition engage various moving targets from a rooftop and long-distance targets, runs to a firing position before engaging targets, and negotiate an obstacle before engaging multiple targets on a range at Fort Bragg, North Carolina.

Nineteen teams competed in the USASOC International Sniper Competition, where instructors from the United States Army John F. Kennedy Special Warfare Center and School designed a series of events that challenged the two-person teams’ ability to work together, firing range, speed, and accuracy in varied types of environments.

SOLDIER REFERRAL PROGRAM - APPROVED!!!

Army Recruiting Ribbon. All Soldiers will be eligible to earn the new Army Recruiting Ribbon for a valid referral of someone who both enlists and ships to Army Initial Military Training (IMT). This honor may be awarded up to four times, as indicated with a numerical device added to the ribbon. Soldiers in the grades of E-4 or E-5 receive 10 promotion points for each award of the ribbon, up to a total of 40 promotion points.

Early Promotion. Under the Soldier Referral Program (SRP) Pilot, Soldiers in the grades of E-1, E-2, and E-3 may receive one rank advancement for providing a valid referral of someone who both enlists and ships to Army IMT. Soldiers may receive only one advancement for participation in this initiative throughout their entire careers, initiated within 60 days of the referred Soldier shipping to IMT.

Soldiers from the 2nd Battalion, 58th Infantry Regiment, 198th Infantry Brigade, showcase their formation at Inouye Field during graduation as part of an Infantry Rifle Squad demonstration on Dec. 09, 2022. The Infantry Rifle Squad, or “Super Squad” consists of nine Soldiers organized under a Squad Leader into two four-man fire teams. This demonstration shows new Infantry One Station Unit Training Soldiers in their future in the U.S. Army.
