🧪 Mrs. Wysh’s Scientists in Action: Physical vs. Chemical Changes!

Our 7th-grade scientists were hard at work exploring how matter transforms in the classroom last week!

The Difference: Physical changes only alter appearance (like melting ice), while chemical changes create a brand-new substance (like a fizzing reaction).

Predict: Students hypothesized what would happen before each demo based on the materials provided.

Explain: They analyzed the results, watching for key evidence like temperature shifts, color changes, and gas bubbles to identify chemical reactions.

Reflect: The biggest takeaway? Looks can be deceiving, but heat, light, and gas production always reveal true chemical changes!

Ask your 7th grader tonight which demonstration surprised them the most! 🥼✨
