I am filled with gratitude for the countless supporters and volunteers who powered my campaign by devoting precious time and resources to my campaign. I am also grateful to my campaign team for helping articulate our hopeful vision for the future of SC District 10. Most of all, I thank my beloved family, Allen and Collins, my son and granddaughter and my dear partner, Nekki for standing by me on every step of this journey.

With your help, we fought to defend reproductive health for women and families. We fought to expand Medicaid and to protect our public school system. We also fought to bring down the cost of living and to solve the liquor liability crisis.

Although the election results were not what we hoped for, I remind you that the fight is not over. We will all continue to advocate for sensible, credible leadership from our legislators.

I am forever grateful for this experience because of the people I met along this journey!

As the polls close, I need to pause and give thanks to the many volunteers who sustained this campaign. They put out 1,000 signs, wrote 3,000 postcards, knocked thousands of doors, and made thousands of calls. Their enthusiasm kept me going. Today, they braved the rain and daylight savings time to work the polls for me. Win or lose, they are the best friends a girl could have. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. ❤️ ❤️❤️

“I’m Senator Katrina Shealy and I am thrilled to endorse Francie Kleckley for South Carolina Senate District 10. I’ve been fighting for the most vulnerable among us for 12 years in the state Senate while good ‘ol boys including Billy Garrett fought against the basic rights of children, women, and anyone who he felt would hurt their political prospects. Billy fought to keep liabilitiy insurance high for restaurants and bars. He fought to keep medical ma*****na unavailable to children suffering from chronic illness and patients with cancer and Alzheimer’s. He also believes he knows more about pregnancy and a woman’s bobdy than the 5 female Senators who he fought to silence and get removed from office. Vote Francie for Senate District 10 so YOU can have a voice and a true representative in the Senate!” - Katrina Shealy

This is truly humbling. Katrina Shealy and the Sister Senators gained national recognition and respect for their bipartisan work to protect women from an abortion ban so early most women don’t even know they’re pregnant yet. Katrina is a fierce protector of the most vulnerable in our communities and her advocacy and ability to work across the aisle in the Senate made her the most successful Senator in number of bills successfully passed for the last several sessions. I am thrilled to have her endorsement and support.

“Hey, folks! Sen. Mia McLeod here, urging you to get out and vote for Francie Kleckly in state Senate District 10!

You know, the number of women lawmakers in our General Assembly is abysmal.

And if things don’t change this November, there will be only two women in our state Senate.

We’ve seen what happens when women don’t have a seat at the table in Columbia:

Extreme politicians pass anti-freedom legislation that hurts our women, girls, and working families.

That’s why we need to elect Francie.

She has been a champion of women’s freedoms and basic rights — including the right to make sensitive medical decisions about our own bodies, and the right to grow our families with the help of IVF.

Now, I want her to bring some of that common sense to the Senate.

Join me in supporting Francie Kleckley on November 5.”

Pro-life and pro-choice women across South Carolina agree: Things have gone too damn far!

And none of us can afford to ignore the very real threats to:

- Women's Bodily Autonomy
- Women's Healthcare
- Women's Safety
- Women's Privacy
- Women's Freedom
- Birth Control
- IVF

I got in this race to PROTECT OUR FREEDOMS in the SC Senate.

My opponent, Billy Garrett, repeatedly voted against women and families in his first term.

We can't give him the chance to represent us again.

If you haven't already, GET OUT AND VOTE TOMORROW!

Polls are open 7am - 7pm. Find your specific polling place at https://vrems.scvotes.sc.gov/Voter/Login?PageMode=PollingPlace

ENDORSEMENT ALERT! I am thrilled to have and share the endorsement of Vernon Burton for South Carolina Senate District 10.

Professor Burton is a Ninety Six native, Emeritus University Distinguished Scholar, and University Scholar at the University of Illinois. Please take a listen to this historian’s wise words and warnings about the culture wars in South Carolina. We CAN turn the page on this chapter at the ballot box tomorrow!

Thank you Professor Burton!

Closing argument: Sunday, November 3

I’m asking for your vote on Tuesday. It would be the honor of my life to represent Greenwood, Lexington, and Saluda in the South Carolina Senate. I’ve lived in this state my whole life. I went to Clemson and Francis Marion. I raised two kids in Lexington public schools, spending nights at the ballpark and sharing chicken baskets from Rush’s. Many of you know me from tennis. My daughter, Kathryn, worked at Topspin in high school. My son, Allen, learned to smoke meat working at Hudson’s.

In the 36 years I worked for the federal government, I rose through the ranks of the U.S. Treasury Department to become the executive over privacy for our nation.

Now, I would like to apply what I learned to make South Carolina better for all of our families.

My opponent is a one-term incumbent who is more interested in keeping power than he is in taking care of our people. Billy Garret has lied to voters about living in Lexington. If he lies about where he lives, what else does he lie about?

He’s also done real harm to our state. He sponsored the unconstitutional complete abortion ban. He voted over-and-over to remove the r**e and in**st exceptions. That’s not all: he voted to censor what our kids can and can’t learn at school. He’s championed extreme bills about their bathrooms, locker rooms, gym showers, and overnight field trips.
I believe those decisions belong to parents — not politicians.

Vote for me on Tuesday. I’ll work across the aisle to unite us rather than to divide us. I’ll represent your needs at the Statehouse. Vote for me for SC Senate District 10.
