📞 Accidentally Dialed 911? Don’t Hang Up! 🚔

It happens more often than you think—pocket dials, kids playing with phones, or misdials in a hurry. But if you accidentally call 911, please stay on the line.
When a 911 call is made, dispatchers are required to treat it as a potential emergency. If you hang up, officers may be sent to your location to make sure everything is okay—tying up valuable resources that could be needed elsewhere.

If you call by mistake:
👉 Simply stay on the line
👉 Let the dispatcher know it was accidental
👉 Answer any quick follow-up questions

This helps us confirm that everyone is safe and prevents unnecessary emergency responses.

Your cooperation keeps our officers available for real emergencies—and helps keep our community safe. 👍

From all of us at Bluegrass Crime Stoppers, thank you to those who laid down their life for the freedoms we enjoy today.
