WELCOME BACK, COACH HAMMOND! 💜💛
Lexington High School is proud to welcome Melissa Hammond back as Head Volleyball Coach of the Lexington Lady Bears!
Coach Hammond is one of the winningest volleyball coaches in Alabama high school history, compiling an incredible 1,055 career victories during her time leading the Lady Bears from 1996–2021. A two-time state champion, Coach Hammond helped build the tradition of excellence that has made Lexington Volleyball one of the premier programs in the state.
Even more special, she is just the fourth coach to lead the storied Lexington Lady Bear Volleyball Program, which began in 1971.
“The Tradition Continues” truly means something special at Lexington.

Once a Lady Bear, always a Lady Bear.

Today at Lexington, our coaches had a great treat as we welcomed AHSAA Hall of Famers Steve Mask and Myra Miles to campus. We are thankful for the time they took out of their busy schedules to help mentor our coaches.

A big thank you as well to Lexington graduate Randy Alred and Pie Factory for feeding us!

Due to weather moving in on Wednesday and the remainder of the week, baseball tryouts will be held tomorrow Tuesday, May 19. Upcoming 7-8th graders will go from 2:00 to 3:00. Upcoming 9-12th graders will tryout starting at 3:15.
