UPDATE 5—The boil water advisory has been lifted and the water is safe to drink. We appreciate your patience during this time.
UPDATE 4—Water has been restored, but a boil water advisory is in place for the affected homes. A notice has been placed on each door where this applies. Homeowners will be notified once the boil water advisory is lifted.
UPDATE 3—Utility crews are still working on the repair. It’s expected to take another few hours. Please be cautions when driving through the work zone for everyone’s safety. We’re doing all we can to get water restored as soon as possible.
UPDATE 2—Water has been shut off for the following streets and they will be without water for the duration of repairs, followed by a boil water advisory:
• Summer Duck Trail
• Landing Drive
• W Sparrowood Run
• E Sparrowood Run
• Mallard Lakes Drive (only between Sunset Blvd and Sparrowood Run)
UPDATE—Water leak update & preparation for the water shut off: the following streets will be without water for the duration of repairs, followed by a boil water advisory:

We estimate that 81 customers will be without water. The contractor and Town are beginning to stage equipment; a follow up post will be made just prior to water being turned off.
Original post—Town of Lexington Utilities is aware of a ruptured water main on Mallard Lakes Drive. Conditions require the Town to utilize a sub-contractor to complete the repairs. The repair work will begin once all utilities have been marked. The work will require that the water main be shutdown, resulting in an outage for many customers in the area. The Town will provide updates as the situation progresses.
