We're on the move!

As renovations begin on our Central Office building, the Davidson County Schools District Office will be temporarily relocating to a new home.

Starting June 15th, you can find us at:

220 East 1st Avenue Extension, Suite 1
Lexington, NC 27292

While our address may be changing for a little while, our commitment to serving our students, staff, families, and community remains exactly the same.

We're excited for the necessary improvements ahead and look forward to continuing to serve our DCS family from our temporary home.

Thank you for your patience and support during this transition.

The current candidate filing period for these seats opened on June 1 and runs through July 31, 2026.

Candidate Rules & Eligibility

To run for the Davidson County Schools Board of Education, candidates must adhere to the following:

Residency: Candidates must reside within the Davidson County school district.

Voter Registration: You must be a registered voter and a U.S. citizen.

Age Limit: Candidates must be at least 21 years old on or before Election Day.

Filing Process: Candidates are required to file in person at the Davidson County Board of Elections (945 N. Main St., Suite A, Lexington).

Filing Fee: There is a $5 filing fee, which must be paid in cash.
