Happy Labor Day! We wish everyone a safe and enjoyable holiday.

The Administrative Office is closed today. Normal business hours will resume tomorrow at 8:00 a.m.

All Solid Waste facilities, including Collection Centers, the Edmund Landfill, and curbside collection, will operate on their normal schedules.

♻️ South Carolina Businesses: Your Recycling Data Matters!

We’re asking businesses to participate in the Fiscal Year 2026 Smart Business Recycling Program Report Survey—currently South Carolina’s only way of collecting statewide business recycling data.

Your participation helps SCDES better understand recycling needs and resources across the state.

📅 Submit your recycling data by October 15, 2026 to qualify to apply for the SC Smart Business Recycling Awards Program and have your efforts recognized through SCDES social media, web platforms, and an awards presentation.

Normal business hours will resume on Tuesday, September 8th at 8:00 a.m.

Lexington County Solid Waste Management Household Hazardous Waste Drop-Off Opportunity for SEPTEMBER is coming up!

Lexington County Residents can safely dispose of Household Hazardous material at no cost, including,

🧯Fire Extinguishers
🔋Lithium-Ion & rechargeable
batteries
🪳Pesticides

*Please DO NOT bring*
oxygen tanks, helium tanks, propane tanks and camping fuel tanks to Republic Services.

Please drop these items off at the Edmund Landfill for disposal.
Located at: 429 Landfill Lane, Lexington, SC 29073
(Mon-Sat 7AM-4:30PM)
(No fees apply)

**Electronics are accepted at the Edmund Landfill during normal business hours.**

The successful candidate will transport materials to and from Collection Centers, the Landfill, and designated recycling processing facilities.
