Yesterday, a new survey went live on the Engage Lexington page for Data Centers. This is a great opportunity to provide public input and help shape our regulations for Data Centers in Fayette County. The Urban County Council, alongside members of local boards and commissions, will host an event fair at the STEAM Academy (1555 Georgetown Road) on Monday, September 14, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM. The public is welcome to join in an evening of fun where they are invited to learn more about the various ways to become involved with LFUCG’s boards and commissions, including the opportunity to speak directly with current and former members. Snacks, including hot dogs, popcorn, popsicles and family-friendly entertainment will be available.

Today, I joined Councilmembers, LFUCG Officials, and members of the Veterans’ Affairs Commission on Friday for the dedication of the new Global War of Terror Memorial at Veterans’ Park. As we remember and reflect on the 25th anniversary of the September 11 attacks, we also recognize those who made the ultimate sacrifice fighting for our country in the decades after.
