A huge thank you to Tempur Sealy International for their incredible generosity in donating and delivering 2800 sheet sets to support children and families served by KVC Kentucky! 💙

We are honored to receive more than $600,000 in opioid abatement funding from Attorney General Russell Coleman and the Kentucky Opioid Abatement Advisory Commission to continue supporting our EMBARK (Embracing Mothers and Building Addiction and Recovery Across Kentucky) program, which serves pregnant and parenting mothers impacted by substance use.

Through EMBARK, families receive compassionate support, care coordination, recovery resources and services focused on improving outcomes for both mothers and babies. Since the launch of the EMBARK program, 42 healthy babies have been born, reflecting the impact of early intervention, support and community-based care for mothers and families.

This funding allows us to continue providing critical support that strengthens families, promotes healthy births and helps keep children safely with their parents whenever possible.

We are incredibly grateful to Valvoline Inc. through their Happy to Help initiative for awarding us a $30,000 grant to support our “In-Home Impact: Removing Barriers for High Acuity Youth and Families” program that began May 1, 2026.

This funding supports two masters level clinicians providing in-home Behavioral Health Services for high acuity youth and families, helping expand access to evidence-based assessment and treatment, case management, medication management, and intensive wraparound support provided in a community-based and in-home setting where families feel most comfortable and supported.

Together, we are helping remove barriers to care and ensuring children and families can access the support they need, right where they are. Thank you to Valvoline for their commitment to supporting critical youth mental health initiatives 💙.

KVC Kentucky was honored to attend the Lancaster City Council meeting as Mayor Michael Gaffney officially proclaimed May as Mental Health Awareness Month in the City of Lancaster.

The resolution, written by City Councilman Brandon McGlone, serves as an important reminder that mental health matters in every community. During the meeting, our very own Dr. Megan Moore spoke on behalf of KVC Kentucky about the importance of mental health awareness, reducing stigma and ensuring families know support and resources are available.

By encouraging open conversations and increasing awareness around behavioral health, Lancaster is taking meaningful steps toward creating a healthier future for individuals and families.

As Councilman McGlone shared, “mental health IS community health.”

Thank you to Mayor Michael Gaffney, the Lancaster City Council, Dr. Megan Moore and all community leaders and advocates who continue working to bring mental health out of the shadows and into the light.
