Our Rotary Club of Lexington Park is participating in the Out of the Darkness Southern Maryland Walk and I want to invite you to support us. Our team fundraising goal is $1,000.

Rotary Club of Lexington Park partnered with Rotary Clubs of Leonardtown and Charlotte Hall to support Three Oaks Homeless Shelter with over 50 backpacks and all required supplies for Pre-K through 11th grade. This effort aligns with Rotary International's September theme of Education and Literacy. All three clubs are part of Rotary District 7620 Area 12.

On Monday July 7th, our club met for a tour of the new St Mary's County YMCA. Thank you, Jen for showing us around! We are looking forward to the soft opening the first week of August.

It is with incredibly heavy hearts that we share that Tari Moore passed away peacefully on Monday, June 29th, 2026, after a long and courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Tari served as President of our club in 2022-2023.

Her family shared many thanks for your support over these past few years. "For more than two years, she fought this disease with incredible determination. While our hearts are broken, we are thankful that her suffering has ended and that she is now home with her Savior. We take comfort in knowing that she has been made whole and is resting in the presence of the Lord."

Please continue to pray for her family in the days ahead. We will share information about her Celebration of Life as soon as those arrangements are completed.

Congratulations to our 2026 Community Service Award winners! These inspirational women continue to create a lasting impact to our community.

Adrienne Sommerville is the founder and President of the Carolyn Parker Foundation. Her organization focuses on transforming lives by providing resources and offering much needed care and support to a diverse group of people.

Mary Washington is the longest serving Board of Education member in the country - 30 years! She dedicates her time to always be present for students, parents, and educators; demonstrating true leadership.
