Today marks the end of an era as Mill Street Elementary closes its doors for the final time.

While our students, teachers, and staff will begin new chapters in new schools and new places, the memories we made here will always remain. Mill Street was more than a building, it was a family. It was a place where friendships were formed, lessons were learned, and laughter filled the halls.

As Mustangs, we learned to run strong, support one another, and never give up. Those bonds don’t end today. The friendships between students, the connections among teachers, and the relationships built throughout our Mill Street community will continue long after today.

Though our paths may lead us in different directions, we will always share the memories and spirit of Mill Street Elementary. Once a Mustang, always a Mustang! 💜🐎

As we close out another incredible school year, we want to take a moment to celebrate the amazing educators and staff members who have dedicated their time, talent, and hearts to our students!

We also proudly recognize the teachers who have completed the three-year New Teacher Program. Completing this milestone reflects your hard work, perseverance, and commitment to the teaching profession. We are excited to see all that you will continue to accomplish.

It may be late in May, and the school year is winding down, but we aren’t done celebrating our incredible Mustangs just yet! We are thrilled to announce our final round of Mustang Honors for the year.

A massive congratulations to our May staff and teacher of the month! 🐴🎉 Thank you Lance Thomas Insurance Agency for donating the prizes for our staff members.

❤️🥹Our hearts are completely full after our Farewell Block Party. Watching our community come together one last time on these grounds was nothing short of magic. It was the perfect send-off for a place that has been a second home to so many of us.

We extend a massive thank you to the people who made this unbelievable night possible:

*Our Incredible PTA & Volunteers:* You worked tirelessly behind the scenes, from the first planning meeting to the final cleanup. This event wouldn't have had its spark without your energy and dedication.

🧑🏽‍🏫4:00-5:00 - PreK/Kinder Parent Event in the Library & **NEWLY ADDED: 1st Grade Parent Event
🥁5:00 - Kick off the block party with the Lewisville High School drum line and 5th Grade vs. Teachers kickball game.
🍧Snacks will be available for purchase - Kona Ice, Fancy Nancy’s, Elotes, Parfaits, and Paletas!
📚Lewisville Elementary, Lakeland Elementary, Prairie Trail Elementary, and Valley Ridge Elementary will be present for a meet and greet!
🫧 Bubble truck, dunk tank, soda ring toss, musical chairs, face painting, fun for everyone!

Don’t forget to check out the Lost and Found during the Block Party! There are lots of jackets, water bottles, and eye glasses that would like to go back to their homes before summer!
