Spring has been a whirlwind at Central Montana Health District!
Spring is often conference and training season in public health, and the past 9 weeks have kept our team moving across Montana and beyond.
Here’s what our staff has been up to:
1. Completed immunization training to stay current on best practices.
2. Attended the annual Public Health Confluence Conference.
3. Sent two employees to Child Passenger Safety Technician training.
4. Wrapped up our spring vaccination clinics across the district.
5. Represented CMHD at the NASTTPO conference through our Associate Public Health Director.
6. Participated in a Public Health Emergency Preparedness Workshop to plan next year’s emergency preparedness efforts for our communities.
Out in the community, we’ve also been focused on prevention and education by offering:
• Adult Mental Health First Aid trainings.
• Youth Mental Health First Aid trainings.
• QPR (Question, Persuade, Refer) su***de prevention trainings.
• ACES (Adverse Childhood Experiences) education.
• To***co and ni****ne education programs.
All of this travel and training helps our team bring updated knowledge, stronger partnerships, and better services back to central Montana.
Now that the spring training rush is winding down, we’re hoping to be more active and present here on social media until fall conference season arrives.
Thanks for following along and supporting public health in our communities!
