Ever wonder how mosquitoes become the biting adults we recognize? It all starts with water. From egg to adult, mosquitoes go through 4 life stages and many can complete this cycle right in your backyard.

A flowerpot, bucket, birdbath, or clogged gutter can be all they need.
Dump, drain, and refresh standing water on your property weekly.

Tick season is here and your yard can make all the difference. Ticks thrive in shaded and moist environments like leaf litter, overgrown brush, and woodpiles.

Help protect your family by:
- Removing leaf litter and yard debris
- Trimming back brush and tall grass
- Stacking wood neatly in dry areas away from your home
- Keeping youth play areas and patios clear

Simple yard maintenance can go a long way in reducing tick exposure for you and your family.

We love a good before & after 👀

This section of Turtle Creek in Union County was dealing with a seriously unstable streambank… trees tipping, rootballs pulling free, and soil heading downstream.

But after the Northcentral Stream Partnership got to work, things are looking better around here 💧

Stabilizing the streambank helps keep soil in place. With less sediment and pollution entering the water, the stream now supports cleaner water for drinking, recreation, and aquatic life.
