The City may restrict or remove from its Social Media sites any content posted in violation of the guidelines for the City's page above. Please be advised that WVDOH will have Route 60 from Jefferson Street (Route 219) to Court Street closed to through traffic beginning at 9:00 a.m. today for approximately 10 hours to replace the traffic lights. There will be flaggers at the intersection of Route 60 and Jefferson Street (Route 219). Please allow extra time if you need to travel through the area. We ask everyone to be aware of the workers and their safety and to use alternate routes if possible. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

The City extends its sincere gratitude to residents and visitors for their patience and understanding as the West Virginia Division of Highways (WVDOH) proceeds with sidewalk repairs and replacements throughout the city to ensure ADA compliance. We appreciate the DOH's efforts in securing grant funding for this project. We kindly request that everyone exercise caution and patience around workers as the project continues, and plan accordingly to allow extra time for travel through the area if necessary.

The Chocolate Festival will be held on Saturday, April 11, 2026 in downtown Lewisburg from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm.

Please DO NOT park on the closed streets listed below from 7:00am to 4:00pm.

Any vehicles left on the street after 7:00 am on Saturday, April 11, 2026 will be towed at owner’s expense.

Streets closed:

•Court Street will be closed from Green Lane to Foster Street.

•Church Street will be closed from Washington Street to Foster Street .

•Washington Street will be closed from Church Street to Lafayette Street.

Notice of Scheduled Roadwork: The Westbound Lane and sidewalk on Washington Street, from Route 219 to Court Street, will be closed starting Monday, April 13, 2026, until completion to facilitate necessary repairs and sidewalk replacement by the WVDOH. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we undertake this work, and kindly request that you exercise caution when navigating the area and plan for potential delays.
