Today marks the 25th anniversary of September 11, 2001, a day that profoundly impacted our nation and forever changed countless lives.

As we pause to remember those who lost their lives, we also honor the courage of first responders, service members, and ordinary citizens who demonstrated extraordinary strength in the face of tragedy. This anniversary serves as a reminder of the resilience, compassion, and unity that emerged during one of our country's most difficult moments.

Many of us remember where we were that day, while others may know its significance through the stories and experiences shared by family, friends, and colleagues. Regardless of our personal connection, today is an opportunity to reflect on the values that brought communities together and continue to guide us forward.

As we go about our work today, we encourage everyone to take a moment to reflect, remember, and appreciate the strength that can emerge when people come together in times of adversity.

There are $11M available to build, replace, or upgrade a charging station in Bedford, Blair, Bradford, Cambria, Cameron, Centre County Government, Clearfield, Clinton County Economic Partnership, Columbia Montour Chamber, Elk, Fulton, Huntingdon, Jefferson, Juniata River Valley Chamber of Commerce, Williamsport/Lycoming Chamber of Commerce, McKean, MifflinCounty.us, Montour, Northumberland, Potter, Snyder, Sullivan, Susquehanna, Tioga, Union County PA and Wyoming counties.
You can submit your proposal until March 12, 2027.

Can you safely walk, bike, roll, or get to transit where you live? What roads, crossings, sidewalks, trails, or connections make it difficult—or unsafe—to get around without a car?

The SEDA-COG Metropolitan Planning Organization wants to hear directly from residents of Clinton, Columbia, Juniata, Mifflin, Montour, Northumberland, Snyder, and Union counties.

Use the interactive map to share:

Missing or damaged sidewalks
Dangerous intersections and crossings
Gaps in bike lanes or trails
Barriers for people using wheelchairs, strollers, scooters, or mobility devices
Places where safer routes to schools, workplaces, parks, stores, or transit are needed

The latest SEDA-COG MPO Trail Demand Report is here! 🚴‍♀️👟

The report highlights trail usage across Columbia and Montour counties and showcases how trail-counting data is helping us better understand our regional trail networks.

Since the program began three years ago, SEDA-COG MPO has:

Conducted trail counts.
Produced online reports and news articles.
Educated the public about regional trails.

We have also shared our work at conferences and in transportation research journals, in collaboration with Dr. Michelle Oswald Beiler of Bucknell University.

Using advanced trail-counter technology, we’re collecting valuable data about peak usage times and changes in trail-use patterns. These insights help trail managers, state agencies, conservation groups, and other partners make smarter transportation and recreation investments. 🌳
