In Union County Court today, Melvin C. Ross of Mifflinburg was convicted of r**e of a child as well as other sexual offenses following a two day jury trial. Bail was revoked and the Defendant has been incarcerated in the Union County prison. Sentencing has been deferred pending the preparation of a pre-sentence investigation report. The case was tried by Union County District Attorney Brian Kerstetter.

In Union County Court today, John Kellog of Mifflinburg was convicted of DUI following a jury trial. Sentencing has been deferred pending the preparation of a pre-sentence investigation report.

In Union County Court today, Raheem Wiggins-Smith was convicted of felony possession with intent to deliver co***ne and fentanyl, possession of ma*****na and possession of drug paraphernalia following a jury trial. The case was tried by District Attorney Brian Kerstetter. 350 bags of fentanyl were taken off the streets of Union County as a result of this arrest and prosecution. Great work by Pennsylvania State Police Corporal Howard Young. If anyone knows the whereabouts of Mr. Wiggins-Smith, please contact the Pennsylvania State Police or the Union County District Attorney’s Office.

Our hearts are heavy today following the news that three York police officers were shot and killed in the line of duty. Two additional officers are in critical condition. The senseless violence has to stop.

In Union County Court today, following a jury trial, Andrew Piskorik was convicted of felony retail theft for shoplifting over $4200 worth of trading cards from the Walmart store in Lewisburg. Sentencing has been deferred pending the preparation of a pre-sentence investigation. The case was tried by Union County District Attorney Brian Kerstetter.
