🚨 URGENT MESSAGE 🚨
Crutcher Road at the railroad tracks is currently closed due to an ongoing emergency incident. This area is expected to remain closed for an extended period of time.
There is no danger to the public at this time; however, we ask that everyone avoid the area and seek alternate routes to allow emergency personnel to operate safely and efficiently.
Please do not attempt to bypass road closures or enter the scene.
Updates will be provided as information becomes available.

Notice of Public Hearing and regular monthly meeting of the MCECD

The Marshall County Emergency Communications District Board of Directors will have a public hearing on June 30th, 2026 at 9:00 AM to discuss the 2026-2027 proposed budget. Immediately following the public hearing the MCECD Board of Directors will have their regular scheduled monthly meeting. The meetings will be held at the Marshall County EOC office located at 230 College St., Lewisburg, TN.

🎉🚧 A Historic Day for Marshall County 911! 🚧🎉

Today, we proudly celebrated the groundbreaking of the new Marshall County Emergency Communications District (911) Communications Center.

This project represents a significant investment in the future of public safety for Marshall County. The new facility will provide a modern, secure, and resilient environment for our telecommunicators and staff, ensuring we can continue delivering the highest level of emergency communications services to our citizens and first responders for generations to come.

We would like to thank the many elected officials, public safety leaders, community partners, and supporters who joined us today to mark this important milestone. Your support and commitment to public safety have helped make this vision a reality.

This new FEMA-rated facility will enhance our ability to serve Marshall County during daily operations as well as during severe weather and other emergencies, providing the reliability and resilience our community deserves.

While today's ceremony marked the beginning of construction, it also represents years of planning, collaboration, and dedication to improving emergency communications throughout Marshall County.

We look forward to sharing updates as construction progresses and are excited to take this next step toward the future of Marshall County 911.

Today, Marshall County 9-1-1 honors and remembers the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our nation. 🇺🇸
This Memorial Day, we pause to reflect on the courage, dedication, and selflessness of those who gave everything to protect our freedoms.
We remember the fallen. We honor their legacy. We remain forever grateful.

The Tennessee Emergency Number Association (TENA) will soon open nominations for several Executive Board and Regional Representative positions. This is your opportunity to help shape the future of 9-1-1 across Tennessee and ensure the voice of emergency communications professionals continues to be represented.

📌 BEFORE YOU APPLY OR NOMINATE, PLEASE REVIEW THE ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:

✅ Must be employed by or serve as a Board Member of a component of an ECD Affiliate member in good standing for at least two consecutive years

✅ Must hold and maintain Public Sector or Telecommunicator membership in NENA for at least one year prior to the election qualifying date

✅ Must have documented approval from your ECD or Agency Representative to serve

✅ Must have two or more years of current experience in the 9-1-1 field

✅ If employed by an ECD Affiliate member, must be a full-time employee of a qualifying 9-1-1 agency/component

✅ If serving as an ECD Board Member, must be a Board Member in good standing

✅ Candidates for Regional Representative must work within the region they seek to represent

✅ Must derive no more than 15% of income from commercial or for-profit activity connected to the 9-1-1 industry

✅ Only one Executive Board member from an ECD Affiliate member may serve concurrently
