Good morning Lewis Library friends! I am so extremely happy to announce that Melanie Cox Wyant stepped into the Director role and I got to go back to being your neighborhood librarian.  Yes! I’m happy to step down as director as it only took me a week, if not less, to realize Melanie was more suited for the Director role than I could ever hope to be. Melanie is on the right in this picture and she is an absolute powerhouse with community involvement. She comes up with idea after idea every single day to make the Library better, easier to maneuver, and fun. Melanie is also the director of a daycare in Elkhorn so she does come to this position with more experience and I know a good thing when I see it. Thank you, Melanie for taking over the extremely challenging work of being the director. Congratulations! 🎉  The Lewis Library is already filled with more summer programs and fun activities with you at the helm. Please stop in and welcome Melanie. (Once she teaches me how to work Facebook she’ll introduce herself properly. Yes, you read that right, she has to teach me how to use Facebook😂)

Yesterday was national Librarians day and since my Assistant Librarian knows more about Libraries than I do, she told me that next week was also national Library week. April is a great month! None of the Boomer crowd at the Library had any birthdays this month so we celebrated Easter a little bit late together. And look what happened during Easter here at the Library! Right in front of one of the best Librarians that has ever been here!  Have a good weekend, everybody.

All you need is a Library card number and that just means you come in to the Library and I grab your name, address, phone number, email , I give you your Library card number and then you are good to go.
