Lafayette Township, McKean County is located in Northwestern Pennsylvania and has a population of 969 household residents and 1,368 institutional residents (Federal Correctional Institution – McKean). In addition to the Federal Correctional Institution, Lafayette Township is home to the Bradford Regional Airport and the National Guard Readiness Center, as well as many commercial businesses. The Township holds 19,249 acres of Allegheny National Forest land and 1,000 acres of Pennsylvania State Game Lands, which can be credited for the Township’s natural scenic beauty. Lafayette Township is home to many permanent residents, as well as seasonal residents and is an attraction for those who enjoy hiking, cross country skiing, snowmobiling, hunting, fishing and camping to name a few. Lafayette Township is the perfect combination of rural living and industrial development.

PAYMENT MUST BE IN TOWNSHIP OFFICE
BEFORE 5:00 P.M. ON THURSDAY, MAY 14

TOWNSHIP OFFICE HOURS WILL VARY.
PAYMENT CAN BE MAILED OR LEFT IN
THE DROP BOX OUTSIDE THE MAIN DOOR.

The following items will not be accepted:
Tires, electronics, chemicals, oil, paint, wood,
household garbage, stones, dirt and tree trimmings.

Discarded materials from home improvement projects
(roofing, renovations, siding, etc.) will not be accepted.

No charge for appliances.
Metal must be placed in a separate pile.
Small items must be put in boxes or
bags that one man can lift.
Magazines and newspapers must be tied
in bundles that one man can lift.
