💧WATER CONSERVATION WEDNESDAY💧
☀️SUMMER WATER FACT☀️
During the summer in Levelland and throughout West Texas, the best time to water is between 4:00 AM and 9:00 AM.

Why?
✅ Less evaporation – Cooler temperatures mean more water reaches the roots instead of evaporating.
✅ Less wind – Early mornings are typically calmer, reducing water loss from sprinkler drift.
✅ Healthier lawns – Grass has time to dry after watering, helping prevent disease and fungus.

Avoid Watering:
❌ 10 AM – 6 PM
The hottest part of the day.
Water can evaporate before soaking into the soil.
Up to half of sprinkler water can be lost to evaporation and wind during hot, dry conditions.

What About Evening?
🌙 After 7 PM is better than midday, but not ideal.
Water sitting on grass overnight can increase the risk of lawn diseases.If you must water in the evening, do it early enough for the grass to dry before dark.
