Please join us in congratulating Firefighter Ashley Cote on graduating from the Penobscot County Fire Academy tonight!

This accomplishment didn’t start two weeks ago. Ashley put in a couple of months of book work and online training beforehand, building toward two rugged weeks of long days, hands-on training, & hard work.

Congratulations, Ashley! We’re proud of you and all the work you put in!

Day 3 of Spark Pug Academy and we celebrated the great work done by these kids.
We also were honored to have Q-106.5 come visit and bring a great guest Josiah Dyer.
We have to share that the team from the Q Jordan and Josiah brought their A game for co****le and defeated the team from Levant Fire! It was a hard fight but this team from the Q 106.5 showed that they know how to play!!
We know that the true sign of a champion is being okay with defeat!
We want to thank the family members that showed to support these kids and the members of Levant Fire that helped put this Academy on!! Huge kudos to Brayden DeWitt who lead this week like a champion!!
We presented these kids with awards and Josiah Dyer sang the national anthem and was amazing!!
Special thanks to Treworgy Family Orchards for donating ice cream to these kids as a nice reward!!
Thank you to all time to start planning a bigger year next year!!!

Day #2 Of Spark Pug Academy and today's guest was a visit from our friends at Bangor Air Guard Fire Department! What an awesome job showing off the trucks to the kids! Thanks FOX22 ABC7 for a visit and great story!!
Tomorrow we have another great day planned and a visit by Q-106.5 team!!!

Day 1 Spark Pug Academy complete!!! Today kids got to tour the station, learn about apparatus and get an awesome visit from Bangor Police Dept.
The little kids and big kids got a great overview of what the bomb squad does to protect our communities!
Crews from both Levant and Corinth, Maine Fire Department had a chance to learn what we can use the resources for and what we can do to help!
Awesome work!

Our Facebook friends...have you missed us...well we are here but sorry busy enjoying Summer weather!! We wanted to share some great photos from this year's Fire Academy and special call out to Firefighter Ashley Cote! We heard she loves pushups..and is representing Levant Fire well!! Thanks JB for the great photos!
Reminder...we are 1 weeks away from our own Spark Pug Jr. Fire Academy....and we have some awesome guests planned this year...who could it be...maybe we could get Cooper Flagg in fire gear!?!?!? ....IF NOT FF Steve Dewitt will have to do...he is a big celebrity himself..

Thurs July 16th 2:21pm, our area along with other surrounding towns just received strong winds and heavy rain bring multiple trees and wires down. Expect delays in power restoration and opening roads as utility companies are extremely busy. We will update here with more road closures as need be.

Current impassable roads-

Avenue Road just over the Corinth line before McCard Rd (Corinth)

3:25pm- Maple Shore Lane (Stetson) partial closure approx 1/4 mile down
