4th Grade attended the annual Fort Wallace Historical Expo and Outdoor Education day. The theme this year: "From Fort Wallace to the Little Big Horn" in honor of the 150th anniversary of the Battle of Little Bighorn.

Students were provided information and demonstrations about mounted bow and pistol shooting, weaponry from the 1860's, the importance of blacksmiths to the calvary, farriers, hide painting and more! Student favorites we're trying to 'crack' the bullwhips, holding a converted muzzleloader, and the calvary relays.

We topped the afternoon by playing in the park at Sharon Springs. We had a spectacular day with fun had by all!
