This week, April 20 - 24, is National Work Zone Awareness Week (NWZAW). This annual nationwide observance takes place at the start of the busy road construction and maintenance season.

This year’s theme is “Safe Actions Save Lives.” Staying alert, slowing down and driving the posted speed limit, avoiding distractions such as using our phones, and moving over for workers and vehicles on the side of the road are ALL safe actions that we should demonstrate every time we drive in a work zone.
