As parents, we plan ahead. We buckle seatbelts. We schedule checkups. We put our kids first.

The HPV vaccine is part of that protection. HPV (human papillomavirus) is very common, and certain types can cause cancer later in life. The HPV vaccine helps prevent those cancers and works best when given early.

Talk to your child’s peditrician about recieving the vaccine, or schedule an appoint with SMCHD. For more information visit smchd.org/clinical-services/immunizations

As of 2024, fi****ms were the leading cause of death among young people ages 1-17 in Maryland.

As responsible gun owners, it's essential to go the extra mile to secure our fi****ms. Lockboxes and gun cases are helpful, but we can do more. By adding a gun lock to your security measures, you create an additional layer of protection against accidents and misuse.

Reinforce your commitment to responsible gun ownership and request a "Free Gun Lock Safety Kit" today at smchd.org/health-topics/violence-injury-and-trauma/gun-safety.
