Blood cancer is a type of cancer that affects the blood, bone marrow, lymph nodes, or lymphatic system.

These cancers can interfere with the body’s ability to fight infection and produce healthy blood cells.

There are currently no routine population-wide screening tests recommended for healthy people to detect blood cancers like leukemia, lymphoma, or myeloma before symptoms appear. Instead, blood cancers are usually found when routine blood work shows unexpected abnormalities or when a persongoes to the doctor with physical symptoms.

Colleena will focus on educating youth across Clarke, Decatur, Monroe, Ringgold, and Wayne counties, providing to***co and ni****ne prevention education, presenting in schools, and helping establish local ISTEP chapters.

With 29 years of experience in education, she brings a wealth of knowledge along with a strong work ethic to launch these meaningful programs in our communities!
