We send our condolences to New Haven & Community Volunteer Fire Department with the loss of Greg Kaylor. A gentleman with over 50 years on the department. A great wealth of knowledge and a man everyone could look up to. Rest In Peace Sir, we’ve got it from here.

Today, the New Haven Fire Department mourns the loss of one of our own. Greg Kaylor fought his medical battles with the same strength and grit he showed every day on the line.

To Greg’s family and friends: our hearts are with you. We are forever grateful for the years you shared him with us and this community.

Please join us in honoring Greg’s memory by keeping his loved ones in your prayers as they move through these next steps. You will be deeply missed, brother.

Please refrain from burning!!

There is an increased risk of fire danger this afternoon. Burn laws make it illegal to burn throughout much of the day. Even where the law allows for burning late this afternoon, it is discouraged.

*REMINDER*

In West Virginia, outdoor burning is restricted during spring (March 1–May 31) and fall (October 1–December 31) fire seasons, allowing fires only between 5 PM and 7 AM. Only vegetative materials (leaves, brush) may be burned. Fires must be attended, and a 10-foot safety strip must be cleared.

Do not burn when there is any wind!!!
You can be fined and charged for the cost of extinguishing the fire
Use common sense please 👍
