The Department was proud to host our annual Domestic Violence Roundtable, bringing together dedicated professionals who are committed to supporting victims and strengthening our community response.

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to the members of the Leominster Police Department, the Massachusetts Department of Children and Families, the Fitchburg Police Department, and the many advocates and liaisons who continue to work tirelessly to support those impacted by domestic violence.

Through strong collaboration and a shared commitment, we remain focused on enhancing resources, improving response strategies, and ensuring the safety and well-being of our community.

A recent social media post claimed a group downtown was using electronic “fobs” to enter locked vehicles. Our investigation found no evidence of an electronic fob; the probability of such a technique being used is extremely low. This appears to be a single incident related to an individual with mental health concerns rather than an organized criminal effort. We encourage anyone with relevant information to contact us, but ask the public to remain calm.
